The sky will go dark over the Sahara on August 2, 2027 — and you can be standing in it.Why This Tunisia Solar Eclipse Tour Is Unlike Any Trip You'll Take AgainOn the afternoon of August 2, 2027, the moon will slide fully in front of the sun over southern Tunisia, and for a few surreal minutes, day will turn to night. Birds will fall silent. The temperature will drop. The sun's corona — a ring of white fire invisible any other day of the year — will blaze around a black disk in the sky.
Then it will be gone, and the desert will feel different for having witnessed it.This Total Solar Eclipse Tunisia Tour is built around that single, unrepeatable moment — and wrapped in eight days of everything that makes Tunisia one of North Africa's most underrated destinations. You'll walk the ruins of ancient Carthage, wander the blue-and-white lanes of Sidi Bou Said, sleep beneath the walls of a holy city in Kairouan, and ride camels into the Sahara at sunset.
And on day four, in the same canyon where Star Wars filmed its desert scenes, you'll watch the moon eclipse the sun over one of the most cinematic landscapes on Earth. We designed this Tunisia eclipse tour package as a small-group journey — part astronomy expedition, part cultural immersion, part desert adventure. No rushing, no crowds funneled through checkpoints. Just a guide, a Bedouin escort who knows this desert better than any map, and a front-row seat to totality.Eclipse tourism for 2027 is already building momentum across North Africa, and viewing spots along the path of totality are limited.
If watching a total solar…

- Day 4 — August 2 | Eclipse Day at the Star Wars Canyon — This is the day the whole trip is built around.
